Venice Beach Skatepark caters to all and you can be assured of an audience at this park.

Not for the faint of heart , the park is a 360 degree, 16000 sq foot concrete array of challenges, surrounded entirely by sand.

It was designed by Zack Wormhoudt and

local skaters and took about 9 months to complete.

I like to go around sunset as you see from my shots, where you can create striking silhouetted skaters against the backdrop of the Pacific ocean.

I wish I lived closer, but 12 miles isn't much, especially since I just found out the train goes almost all the way there (Santa Monica) .

So you will be seeing more skate photographs in the near future.
